New Competition
Hi Folks
Time for a new Competition with a
$25 TOP PRIZE
and great Gruen runner up prizes


WOT! WOT! I hear the cries what do we have to do to win such fair!
Just post YOUR pictures of Gruen watches
Whole watches, part watches, broken bits of watches, watches with the dog. wrist shots
Any picture you like! as long as the word Gruen is clearly shown on the watch or its parts
After the closing date, Mike the watch guy, Robert ,a Forum member and a photograher, and myself will try to find a BEST PICTURE
and 4 runner ups
The Winner will recieve $25 and the runner ups will get some Fine Gruen Collectables
I have posted some pics, just to give you some ideas

DATES OF THE CONTEST

The contest opens NOW and closes at 11:59 PM Tuesday August 31st, 2010 EST. Entries submitted after this time will be disqualified.


Rules of the Contest


1. All photos must be related to Gruen watches. Some part of a Gruen watch must be in the picture.

2. Absolutely no obscene material. Think PG-13. If you're in doubt as to the appropriateness of a picture, please send a PM to a Mike with the picture & he'll be happy to advise.

3. All photos must be original and taken by the member who submits them.

4. Only basic photo-editing is allowed. This includes:

Brightness
Contrast
Light levels
Cropping
Color Adjustments (hue / Saturation)
Highlights
Cleaning of 'dust' or particles in pixels
Sharpening

All other photoshopping is prohibited. This includes filters, layers, 'cutting' of photos, mirroring, borders and any other effect or change made by a software application other then the ones specifically allowed above..

5. Feel free to use pictures you’ve already posted or new “never before seen” shots - whichever is your preference.

6 Members may submit up to 3 photos which must be no larger than 800x600 / 600x800 pixel dimension size

7. All entries must be submitted by 11:59PM Tuesday, August 31st, 2010 EST. Entries submitted after this time will not be accepted.
8. After this date , the panel consisting of Mike the Watch Guy, Robert and Bazzab will pick the winner and 4 runner ups
The winner will receive a $25 Gift Card from Amercian Express and 4 runner ups, prizes of a fab Gruen collectables




Photo's may be adjusted or changed at the discretion of the submitting member up to the submittal deadline. After the deadline, no changes will be allowed.







REMEMBER!
All entries must be submitted by 11:59PM Tuesday, August 31st 2010 .

Now, break out those cameras, line up your watches and shoot away!!!

And I was going to try out my new camera I got at a live auction. Now I can`t cuz I have to judge.

I couldn't wait to submit mine.

Broke the "must have a watch in the shot" rule anyway.

Either I'm spuring ideas or just causing trouble :twisted:

It does look like a seagull. :D But that camera looks like my Voightlander! I still use this camera.

Nice crank, I wish mine had a crank. Makes it look way cooler. :P I'm going to dig through my props and post an inspirational shot later.
