Note: This was dark watch repair humour!

I just remembered some of the things I did starting out. :shock:
Crosses and sunlight have no effect on hairsprings. That should tell you something.

Uhm, for those of us having trouble piecing together the thread and final solution, can you summarize what the root cause was and how you're fixing it?
